About
Hi
My name is Laura, and I hold a BSc (Hons) in Integrative Counselling and Psychotherapy. I am an accredited member of the IACP (M15599). I believe that every person is unique, and effective therapy should reflect each client’s individual needs, preferences, and lived experiences.
In our work together, I provide a safe, confidential, and supportive space where you can explore the thoughts, emotions, beliefs, and behaviours that may be causing distress or holding you back. Counselling offers the security and compassion needed to understand these challenges so they can be processed, healed, and transformed.
I have experience supporting clients with a wide range of issues, including grief and loss, anxiety, stress, low self-esteem, gender dysphoria, depression, trauma, and relationship difficulties. I also offer couples counselling.
As a certified adolescent psychotherapist, I provide a safe and understanding environment where young people can explore their feelings, build resilience, and develop healthy coping skills.
My therapeutic approach integrates CBT (Cognitive Behavioural Therapy), CFT (Compassion-Focused Therapy), Person-Centred Therapy, and creative, strengths-based methods to offer effective, engaging, and personalised support.

If you’re experiencing intense sadness, isolation, changes in sleep, appetite, or energy, or finding it hard to enjoy things you once loved, you may be struggling with symptoms of depression. These feelings can be overwhelming, but with the right support, it’s possible to understand what’s happening and begin to heal.
Depression
Coping with a significant loss can be overwhelming, often leading to emotional distress, physical symptoms, and difficulties with day‑to‑day self‑care. Many people struggle to process grief and may avoid their feelings or rely on unhealthy coping strategies, making support even more important.
Grief & Loss
Life and work can be both exciting and demanding, and stress is a natural response to challenging situations. When the body enters "fight or flight" mode, it can help in the short term--but ongoing or chronic stress can negatively affect both your physical and mental health. Therapy offers a supportive space to understand your stress triggers and develop healthier ways to cope.

If you’re experiencing excessive worry, racing thoughts, irrational fears, sleep difficulties, changes in heart rate, irritability, sweating, fatigue, or trouble concentrating, you may be dealing with symptoms of anxiety. These feelings can be overwhelming, but with the right support, you can understand what’s happening and learn effective ways to manage it.
Anxiety
Feeling stuck or unsure about your next step can be overwhelming. Life transitions often disrupt your sense of balance, leaving you feeling unsettled or uncertain. Therapy provides a supportive space to explore these feelings, gain clarity, and navigate change with confidence.
Life Transitions
Are you finding it hard to manage your anger or other strong emotions? Does anger feel like your default reaction, even in situations that don’t seem to warrant it? If your emotional responses feel out of proportion or difficult to control, therapy can help you understand these patterns and develop healthier ways to cope.
Anger Management
Emotional distress, personality differences, and communication difficulties can create relationship challenges that impact your connection with partners, colleagues, friends, or family members. These conflicts can feel overwhelming, but with the right support, it’s possible to understand patterns, rebuild trust, and strengthen healthier relationships.
Relationship Challenges
Work and career mean something different to everyone. For many, decisions are shaped by a desire for meaning, purpose, and fulfilment, while for others financial stability plays a key role. Therapy can help you explore these motivations, understand what truly matters to you, and make career choices that align with your values.
Work and Career Issues
Using approaches such as CBT, CFT, Person‑Centred Therapy, and creative techniques, I tailor each session to meet the unique needs of every young person. I offer a safe, supportive space where adolescents can explore challenges, express themselves freely, and build resilience.
